The Camera Club of New York, conveniently located at 336 37th street between 8th and 9th avenues, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Members can sign up for three 4-hour sessions of darkroom time weekly, and can also use a fully equipped studio for a small fee. Working with negatives up to 4 X 5, members can print photographs up to 20x24 inches.

Facilities include:

  • Five well equipped black & white and color darkrooms
  • Fully equipped studio with strobe unit, modeling lights, umbrellas, tripods
  • Access to the facilities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Easels, printing trays, paper cutters, grain focusers
  • Drying cabinet for film and racks for prints
  • Conference area
  • Color Processor: Colex 32" wide. Print capacity up to 30" x 40"
  • Lockers
  • High speed internet access
  • Gallery with rotating shows

We also have an ongoing lecture series at The School of Visual Arts


Other essentials: All other photographic accessories such as tray, tanks, easels, etc... are available for use by all members at no additional cost.
